a closer look
BETHANY
& CHARLIE
Our clients are such amazing people. We love your company and we love creating event designs to highlight exactly who you are and what you like. Throughout the process, we put a few twists on your ideas and add in a some of our own. We listen to you and hear your stories. We want to know you, brainstorm with you and push you to consider new ideas. We work together to give you a cohesive design while crafting the story you want to tell at your celebration. It is a partnership and a friendship, and what we affectionally refer to as The Blossoms Experience.

Planners and past clients can tell you that our initial meetings are not short, our detail meetings
are often catered affairs, and someone in our studio is typically mixing a cocktail. We believe
that your design process should be collaborative and fun, and we happen to specialize in both!

We had the very best Blossoms Experience planning an October wedding weekend with Bethany, Charlie and their wonderful families. Take a moment to enjoy the details of their story here.
What Charlie wanted for their wedding day
Shotgun Shell Boutonnieres
His was fired on the hunting trip where he asked Bethany's dad if he could marry her.
And whatever would
make this girl happy!
TRULY ONE OF OUR MOST FAVORITE COUPLES. EVER. IN LOVE SINCE THE AGE OF 5,
THESE TWO ARE BEAUTIFUL, SMART, FUNNY, SWEET, MODEST & GRACIOUS.
Once the planning began, our team, led by Melissa Porter at Asheville Event Co. was quickly formed, and the wedding was set for Antler Hill Barn on The Biltmore Estate. The challenge was to transform this barn into a luxury venue, while staying true to its rustic feel. You know, "Barn Glam".

An antler chandelier, a fancy oversized lounge area, and custom fabric draping were added immediately. Next came the crystals, and then more glam.

Keeping luxury-meets-barn in mind, the brick aisle & wooden horse stalls needed a bit of a boost. We began by adding 80' of lush floral and candlelight down the sides of the aisle. Golden wagon wheels were placed on the stall doors to complete the perfect pathway for our beautiful equestrian bride.
Throughout the process, we had planned to drape the back wall of the barn in fabric. We then learned that Bethany & Charlie wanted to have a cross in front of the altar draping. So we built them a wooden cross.
Next we built a chapel around that cross and then we filled that chapel with flowers.
TOO MANY DINNER DETAILS NOT TO MISS
The crystal chandeliers were strategically placed between a eucalyptus covered wagon wheel canopy over the head table.
The cherry stain on the barn wood floor was chosen to coordinate with the farm tables and the wooden barn door entrance.
We placed 378 succulents within the head table
floral runner.
The gold lettering on the table numbers matched the gold on the votive candles that matched the gold flatware.
THIS DALLAS COUPLE REMINDED US THAT "EVERYTHING'S BIGGER IN TEXAS", SO WE FOLLOWED THAT RULE BY CREATING A 12' TALL FLORAL HORSESHOE. NATURALLY A GIANT CRYSTAL CHANDELIER ACCENTED THIS STUNNER.
DID YOU PICK UP ON THE EQUESTRIAN THEME?
This event was a true partnership, made possible by fabulous clients and led by Melissa Porter of
Asheville Event Company. This Blossoms Experience included a fantastic vendor team we were lucky
to work with, including Biltmore Weddings, Rachel Red Photography and Classic Event Rental.
No detail was left un-micromanaged.

The walkway vignettes leading into the party, created from their own personal boots, cowboy hats, antlers and family photos. We filled in with leather furniture, floral, rolled denim, lanterns and excessive rhinestones.

AND THE CLEMSON TIGER EVEN MADE AN APPERANCE...GO TIGERS!!
The custom beer flights we created were perhaps our favorite element, Made to mimic the Tiger's paw, each guest received one featuring a selection of beers brewed here in Asheville, giving everyone a taste of our local love.
